The RSL Rockschool syllabus is a pre-eminent course for classical, pop, and rock music, with grades ranging from Entry Level to Grade 8. Achieving Grade 6 and beyond can also contribute valuable UCAS points for university applications.
Meet Your Teacher: Zoltán Farkas
Zoltán Farkas is more than just a teacher; he’s a passionate advocate for classical guitar. Originally from Hungary, he holds a Master of Arts in Music Education (Classical Guitar) with excellent distinction from the Béla Bartók Faculty of Music, University of Miskolc. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Geography, a testament to his well-trained and analytical mind.
With nearly a decade as a beloved teacher at the Bristol Spanish Guitar Centre and as the former Musical Director of the Bristol Classical Guitar Society, Zoltán has helped shape the city’s guitar community. His students consistently describe him as “professional and thorough,” “inspiring,” and “a seriously impressive performer.”
