Privacy Policy
Firebird Studios as a business doesn’t run if you guys don’t trust us. We do not do anything with your data that you wouldn’t expect. If you’re enquiring about booking a room, then we’ll deal with the data to book the room. If you’re enquiring about Saturday Music Club or private music tuition, then we’ll use your data solely for that purpose. We do not sell your data or pass it onto anyone not connected with us being able to facilitate your request. Firebird Studios, which operates the Internet site located at firebirdstudios.co.uk, recognises the importance of protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information collected about visitors to our sites.

Cookies
This site uses Cookies – small text files that are placed on your machine automatically and which can be removed by yourself if you wish. Cookies provide non-personal tracking data, and help us to optimize the way our website works for our users. Cookies identity your Internet browser, the type of operating system you use, your IP address and the domain name of your Internet service provider, and this non-personal information may be used by us for internal purposes, including but not limited to using third party applications such as Google Analytics to analyse what sorts of users are using our site, and improving the content of our website pages for those users. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see what people do when visiting our site and so we can improve our website and make it better for you guys. All the data is anonymised, so we don’t know who is on the site at any time, we can only see where you go and how you interact with our site. Outside of that we don’t allow Google or anyone the ability to know who is on our site.
Guest Wi-fi
We provide a Guest Wifi network for people to use, which we have separated from our main wifi. This is to allow us to carry out data processing without the fear of it being seen by third parties on site. Equally it means that you can browse what you like and we haven’t got the first idea about what site you’re on.
Third Party Processing
We use Mailchimp to send out email newsletters to bands that rehearse and also to parents of the children studying at Saturday Music Club. These are necessary communications to ensure that people are aware of term dates, holidays and any particular changes to studio policy or timings. You are free to unsubscribe from these communications at any point using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails. This will, however, mean that you will be less well informed when it comes to studio goings on. We also use Google to store contact information for both band members and Saturday Music Club parents and children. The information we hold on the children (name, age, date of birth) is used to create registers for teachers and ensure that we have the right children in the right classes. The data we hold does not allow us to contact them directly, all correspondence can only be done via the parents using their email address or mobile phone number. We use their G Suite apps (Docs & Sheets) to timetable lessons, create letters and collect contact information through use of their forms. Mailchimp’s GDPR addendum can be found on our site here. Google’s GDPR statements’ can be found on their website.
Right to your data
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer, Charlie at 0117 9872 1830.
